Catch a Monster Server Hop Guide — Fix Connection Errors & Find Rare Spawns
Last updated: 2026-07-09
To server hop: leave the game and rejoin from the Roblox page, or pick a specific server from the Servers tab. Hop to reset boss spawns, hunt rare spawns like DuskWing, and fix codes that fail on outdated servers.
How to Server Hop
- 1Leave your current game session completely.
- 2Open the Catch a Monster page on Roblox and scroll to the Servers tab.
- 3Join any server with open slots — avoid nearly-full servers if you're boss hunting, since spawns may already be claimed.
- 4Repeat until you find the spawn, boss, or working-code server you need.
When Server Hopping Helps
- Rare spawn hunting: DuskWing's ~0.01% spawn on Duneveil Isle is realistically only found by hopping.
- Boss resets: if Frostwyrm, ShadeKnight, or Gildron is already dead on your server, hopping beats waiting for the respawn timer.
- Code redemption: brand-new codes can fail on servers running an outdated build — hop once before giving up on a code.
- Thunderclaw windows: the boss spawns intermittently on Blossom Haven Island; hopping multiplies your chances of catching a live window.
Fixing "Cannot Connect to Server"
- 1Wait 1–2 minutes and rejoin — post-update server churn is the most common cause.
- 2Fully restart the Roblox app (not just the game).
- 3Check the Roblox status page for platform-wide outages.
- 4Clear the Roblox cache, then relaunch and rejoin.
Server Hop FAQ
Leave the game and rejoin from the Roblox game page — you'll usually land on a different server. To target a specific server, open the game page's Servers tab and join one with open slots. Private servers guarantee a fresh instance.
Most connection failures happen right after an update, when old servers shut down while new ones spin up. Wait a minute and rejoin. If it persists: restart Roblox, check the Roblox status page, and clear the Roblox cache.
Each server tracks its own spawns, so hopping is the fastest way to find bosses that are dead on your current server — and the standard method for hunting the 0.01% DuskWing spawn on Duneveil Isle.
Fresh codes sometimes only register on servers running the newest build. If a code from our list fails, hop once and redeem again before assuming it expired.
